Enjoy a 3-day & 2-night weekend stay near the sacred springs of Tava Mountain (aka Pike’s Peak), including a 2-hour soak at the renowned Sun Water Spa—soaking in mineral-rich cedar tubs with views of Tava Mountain, swimming in the indoor warm salt water pool, relaxing in the infrared sauna, and gathering in our private 3rd floor glass teepee reception room—all sprinkled with the essence of Tava Mountain’s magic and mystery. Manitou Springs is a quaint mountain town nestled at the base of one of Colorado’s most revered mountains. Long honored by the Ute Nation for the magical properties of its natural spring waters, the town has preserved the spirit of this special place while offering modern comforts. It’s the perfect setting to unplug, connect with new friends, and rediscover a sense of wonder.

At the heart of this retreat is Sacred Geometry—the ancient art and universal language through which nature creates the universe in all its beauty. From the Yogis to the Greeks to the Mayas, cultures throughout history understood that geometric patterns form the foundation of all creation—appearing in temples and cathedrals, in flowers and galaxies, in our own bodies. Using simple tools—a compass, straight edge, pencil, and paper—we’ll draw beautiful mandalas including the Flower of Life, Chakras Wheels, and The Torus of Life. No math required, just circles and straight lines. Then we’ll color and embellish our creations together, sharing insights and laughter as we play with these timeless forms.

Each day unfolds with gentle movement—yoga, qigong, breathwork—and live music woven through our practices of chanting and meditation. We’ll take a morning walk to the nearby Garden of the Gods, moving among the towering red stone formations, communing with nature and the energy of the Earth and Sky. You’ll be nourished by four delicious chef-prepared meals—a welcome dinner, two breakfasts, and one lunch—all organic, local, and farm-to-table from the Smokebrush Farm that Rockledge Retreat Center is part of. Saturday evening is yours to explore the charming shops, art galleries, and restaurants of Manitou Springs and nearby Old Colorado City. During your free time Saturday evening or Sunday, you can also book one of the many amazing spa treatments at Sun Water Spa on your own.

This is as much about the people as the practice—expect meaningful conversations, shared meals, evening stargazing, and the kind of easy connection that comes from stepping away from daily life with a group of kindred spirits.

Farm-to-Table Meals by Chef Aimee Morrow

Our four chef-prepared meals are crafted by Aimee Morrow, Smokebrush Foundation’s head chef now in her fifth season. Aimee has traveled the world collecting flavor combinations and cooking methods from many cultures and cuisines. Her style is healthy, feel-good food using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients—organic, seasonal, and lovingly prepared. She’ll be preparing meals from fresh, local, and organic ingredients, many harvested directly from Smokebrush Farm. In her words, “food is love.” Aimee is adept at accommodating dietary needs including vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. Expect seasonally nourishing, shared community meals designed for connection, nourishment, and joy—beautiful plates that honor the land and feed the soul.

Garden of the Gods stands as one of North America’s most potent spiritual sanctuaries, where towering red and white sandstone formations pierce the sky beneath the watchful presence of Tava (Pikes Peak). These ancient rock temples rise dramatically from the earth creating natural cathedral spaces that have drawn spiritual seekers for millennia.

For the Ute, Lakota, and other indigenous peoples, this sacred landscape served as a gathering place for ceremony and communion with the spirit world. The formidable rock formations act as natural amplifiers of Earth’s energy, creating powerful vortexes that facilitate deep meditation and spiritual connection. It was in this energetically charged setting, near Tava Mountain, where the revered Lakota holy man Black Elk received his prophetic visions about humanity’s spiritual evolution.

About Katrina & Michael

Katrina and Michael have been journey together on the spiritual path since 2013 and are the co-owner of Karma Yoga Center in Denver, Colorado.

The are also known as the Shaman & The Mermaid and offer 200Hr Teacher Trainings, 300Hr Teacher Training & Mexico Immersion, Local and International Retreats and Immersions, Weekly Sound Healings, Astrology Readings & Workshops, Spiritual Counseling, Studio Yoga Classes, Online Yoga Classes, Spiritual Gatherings & Events, and a warm loving community to all who enter.

As the owner and founder of Karma Yoga Center in Denver, she brings the bhakti from all wisdom traditions to her yoga classes- singing, chanting, dancing, and journeys into the heart. Katrina fills every yoga session with love. She weaves in the teachings of her yoga mentor Saul David Raye and the cosmic knowings from the lineage of Evolutionary Astrology.

She shares her life journey with her half-side husband Michael Shankara and her two boys Max & Bo .

About Michael

Michael is a yoga teacher, Mayan shaman/priest, astrologer, Qi Gong practitioner, and sacred geometer. He apprenticed with Dr. Don Miguel Angel Vergara, a revered Mayan Elder, Wisdom Keeper, Mayan Priest, and former cultural director of the sacred Chichen Itza Pyramids. This lineage deeply enriches Michael’s work to understand and share universal and perennial spiritual teachings from many ancient wisdom traditions.

Integrating his shamanic and yogic training, Michael offers transformative experiences through music, sound healing, crystal healing, energy healing, and astrology readings. With over a decade of study in Western, Mayan, Greek, Vedic, Native, and Chinese astrology, he brings deep wisdom to his teachings. Michael also shares the principles of sacred geometry through engaging drawing classes, seminars and workshops. He blends Taoist and Vedic yoga to help students balance Mind, Body and Spirit.

Together with his beloved partner Katrina, they co-own Karma Yoga Center in Denver. As “The Shaman & The Mermaid”, they create a loving community, offering teacher trainings, retreats, spiritual immersions, classes, workshops, events, and insightful teachings, including free Full Moon astrological forecast videos. Their mission is to create community, share the spiritual teachings, and inspire others to embark on their own transformative journeys of self-discovery, empowerment, healing, self-realization and spiritual growth.
