May 12-June 11 ~ Astrology Report

The sage Ramana Maharishi taught that the path to Self-realization is through the Spiritual Heart. All other manifestations we encounter along the journey are merely illusions born of ego and mind. When distracted, our minds constantly seek outside the Self, becoming lost in maya. But when turned inward toward the cave of the heart—toward Brahman—we begin to realize our true Self. The wisdom lies in its simplicity: we are asked to “drop the mind into the heart.”
This coming lunar cycle brings profound cosmic churning that will mirror itself on the Earth plane. The year 2025 marks a convergence of celestial shifts unseen for over 3,000 years, with several of these synchronistic movements occurring during this very month. A great churning stirs now in the ocean of consciousness. The ancient yogis foresaw this time and others like it, encapsulating the wisdom in the story of “The Churning of The Ocean of Milk” (Samudra Manthana).
The demons and the gods (the mind and the heart) struggled for the sacred amrita (satchitananda). They engaged in an epic tug-of-war with a snake (kundalini) wrapped around a mountain on the back of Vishnu incarnated as a turtle. First, the churning brings forth all of the poisons to the surface, which Lord Shiva consumes to save the Universe. Then arise the treasures of Spirit, including the Goddess Lakshmi emerging from the ocean foam – the light of the Spiritual Heart.
We are experiencing much churning now on our planet and within our own minds. If we focus on the chaos and seeming destruction, we will become lost in the Maya. Drop the mind into the Spiritual Heart and follow sage Ramana’s advice to ask “Who am I? Who is the true Self?”
This cycle starts with the Scorpio Full Moon and Buddha’s birthday (Vesak) on May 12. Scorpio is the underworld, the shadow, the unconscious, and the mysteries of the Soul. This full moon may churn things out of the collective psyche. The medicine is to surrender the mind to the heart and find connection in the heart space with one another.
The Sun enters Gemini from May 20 – Jun 20. The balanced archetype of Gemini is to walk in both worlds, transcending the duality of the mind. Unbalanced, it becomes lost in duality and Maya. Bringing the head to the heart is the medicine this month.
One of the biggest energies of the year is Saturn entering Aries on May 24. The last time Saturn was here was 1996-99, and this is a rhythmic return to energies born then. Balanced, this could be a beautiful time of creation, manifestation, Truth, responsibility, healing, and returning to the Spiritual Heart. Unbalanced, this brings tension, division, war, aggression, blockage, and delay. You choose.
Mercury enters its home sign of Gemini on May 25, followed by the Gemini New Moon on May 26. Gemini time of year is when Spring is in full bloom and life is individuating and multiplying. Balanced Gemini is able to see and enjoy the multitude of manifestations, while staying grounded in the eternal heart where all things reconcile. Namaste – the light in me honors the very same light in you.
On June 8 and 9, Mercury and Jupiter enter Cancer, respectively. Cancer is the watery, feeling realm of the Soul and Heart. Mercury represents the mind-stuff. Mercury in Cancer is dropping the mind into the heart. Jupiter embodies trust, faith, belief and vision. Jupiter is asking us to keep our faith even when we cannot see it physically. Avoid going back to the mind when triggered by doubt and seek to stay in the heart. Ask again, “Who Am I?”
This whole year is marked by Pluto entering Aquarius, Neptune into Aries, Saturn in Aries, Jupiter into Cancer and Uranus into Gemini in July. These are huge cosmic shifts in consciousness all happening in one year. Expect the unexpected. Things will rise and things will fall. The medicine is to stay in the sheltering cave of the Spiritual Heart. Drop the mind into the heart.
See you at the Sagittarius Full Moon on June 11.
