Lisa Julian

Lisa is a life long student. She earned her yoga instructor certification at the beautiful Nosara Yoga Institute in Costa Rica after discovering the powerful benefits of her own yoga and meditation practice.  The teacher training was unique in that it focused on self-inquiry and connecting with the present moment through this process. Her practice is based on building strength in the body through intentional movement, and focusing on the breath to bridge the mind and the body. Often people say, “I can’t do yoga.” Lisa has come to understand that the true essence of yoga comes from within each individual, not a picture in a magazine, and our practices will all be different. She believes in guiding others toward finding their own yoga practice as a result of a heightened awareness in the body. Bringing awareness to the body provides the inner wisdom and insight that allows us to have mindful control over our own whole health and happiness – mind, body, and spirit.
