Grand Opening Weekend
Namaste Friends!
Please join us for a weekend of fun. We have many festivities planned and are excited to celebrate the summer soltice and our new beginnings. For those of you new to the yoga world some of the events planned might seem foreign to you so here are what the events mean:
- Everything kicks off Friday night with a Hanuman arti (blessing ceremony) performed by Santosh and then followed by a gong bath with Gary Fishman.
- Sarita from Tibetian Imports is providing the prasod for everyone. Yummy! Thank you Sarita!
- Saturday has more food and fun. DJ Solomoon (Jeremy Wolf) is spinning tunes in the parking lot on Saturday from 1-4pm. We will barbeque burgers (veggie and meat) for $2. 00. And Lakshmi Nair will be painting henna tattoos!
- Later that evening we will be hosting a Kirtan (singing and chanting) with Waking Alchemy (Ryan Hader and Dakini Ma)! They just released their new album so we can hear it live! This is only $10.
- Sunday night begins with a Lakshmi puja (blessing ceremony) performed by one of my favorite teachers Dr. Katyayani Poole of the Shruti Institute of Vedic Arts in Broomfield.
- Directly after the puja is a drum circle performed by Scott Schumacher who makes beautiful drums in the Native American tradition. He will bring several drums and set the beat. We can drum along with him or we can dance and take in that primordial beat that helps to awaken our soul. The cost is only $10.
We will be holding our regular class schedule through out the weekend. And we will be giving away lots of great prizes.
