In truth, all of astrology is about our union with the spiritual state. All of the astrological signs are consciousness rays illuminating the same Universal Energy and the same Central Sun of Spirit. Just as each of us is a ray of consciousness radiating out from the One, we are all one energy, one love. This is the essence, foundation, and core of the Yogic Teachings and Astrology. We are all one, and it is the Dharma of every one of us to remember and live that truth. This is the spiritual state- love and shine upon everyone like the Sun. Easier said than done. There is the possibility of much polarity and duality to be experienced at this time- and another name for this is “separateness.” The belief that we are NOT all one. And some “ones” are more right, and some “ones” are wrong. We may become fixated on the ones that we hate. It is just another form of mediation- where the mind resides. So Katrina was reminded of the song “Mediate” by the 80’s band INXS, particularly the lyric “Don’t Suffocate On Your Own Hate.” Hate and fear to counter “hate and fear” is suffocating and debilitating. The medicine now is to “Meditate On The Spiritual State” instead.

This lunar cycle is full of Pisces energy- 6 astrological energies will be there- which is the Ultimate Spiritual State when balanced. Even more potent is the current North Node of the Moon in Pisces. This is where we are being guided towards a collective and as individuals. Pisces energy is Unconditional Love, Unity consciousness, seeing the same light in all beings, Forgiveness, Compassion, Mother Nature, and Supreme Creativity. The North Node is also one of the eclipse points in the sky- the South Node is the other. So this is a portal energy. We are beginning eclipse season with the first on Mar 13, but from now until then, all of the planets and luminaries in Pisces will continually activate the North Node. So where is the collective energy being called to? Unconditional Love and Acting from the Spiritual Heart. So, thus our Mantra (which we rap- you’ll have to watch the video to see!) is “Don’t Suffocate On Your Own Hate.  Meditate On The Spiritual State.”

It starts with the Leo Full Moon and Snow Moon on Feb 12. Leo’s energy is authenticity, open-heartedness, love toward all beings, creativity, good leadership, and playfulness. It is a gateway to embodying the Pisces Consciousness. This full moon has the potential to illuminate where we are loving and open-hearted or where we should not be. Unbalanced Leo can be Proud, Arrogant, Selfish, and controlling. If you despise this in others, then don’t cultivate it yourself.

Mercury and the Sun move into Pisces on Feb 12 & 18, with a Pisces New Moon on Feb 27. Our Thoughts, Words, Actions, and Inner World are all in the conscious field of the Spiritual State. What to do? If hate is present, use your free will to move the mind to the heart and meditate on the Inner Sun, which is the same within all beings.

Neptune is in a long-term conjunction with the N. Node in Pisces (2 months) and Mercury on Mar 1. This portal asks us to cut hate and separation from the mind and choose the spiritual path. You may still take action, but seek to do it from a loving place- not a hateful place.

Venus begins a dramatic retrograde on Mar 1 in Aries. She has been the Evening Star for the last year and a half to the west and will quickly descend over 40 Days and Nights into the underworld and reaper as the Morning Star to the East before Sunrise in mid-April. Death and resurrection. Venus is all about LOVE. Her Journey is the surrender of what is not love, and her resurrection is renewed spiritually in the world.

Mars does direct after over two months of retrograde on Feb 23. Since November, Mars has been stirring the fields. Balanced Mars seeks Truth and is Open Heart. Wounded Mars is angry, reactive, controlling, and suffocating. This could be an opportunity to restore our Spiritual State if we go out of bounds. Mars says to take action, but always from Love.

Finally, we arrive at the Total Lunar Eclipse on the Virgo Full Moon on Mar 13. Visible in Denver for a blood-red moon. Virgo is about discernment and not judgment—more next cycle. “Don’t Suffocate On Your Own Hate.  Meditate On The Spiritual State.”
