opening March 1, 2026!
About the New Studio
We’re Katrina & Michael, owners of Karma Yoga Center in Denver. After 15 years of creating community—first on Franklin Street, then Pearl Street—we’re building a new home five blocks west at 1760 S. Broadway, right between Mexico and Colorado Avenues, next to Corvus Coffee.
This is more than a move; it’s the expansion we’ve dreamed of for years. A spiritual sanctuary, community gathering place, and wellness center offering yoga, teacher trainings, spiritual immersions, healing arts, a Tea House, Meditation Room, Sacred Geometry School, and space for music, art, and gathering.
Our Journey
In 2010, Katrina opened Karma Yoga Center in North Wash Park on Franklin Street with a small business loan, a dream, and a deep knowing that sharing authentic yoga was her soul’s purpose. Many said a yoga studio couldn’t survive the recession. But with the support of an incredible community, it did more than survive—it thrived.
In 2015, we moved to our beloved South Pearl Street location, where we’ve spent the last 11 years growing, teaching, and deepening our community.
Now, we’re embarking on our most exciting chapter yet—staying rooted in the same Denver neighborhood we’ve called home for 15 years, just five blocks west at 1760 S. Broadway!
What We’ve Always Been
Karma Yoga Center is a sanctuary for Community, Connection, and Ceremony.
We’ve never been just a workout studio. From day one, we’ve stayed true to the deeper roots of yoga—bhakti, devotion, spirit. We chant in Sanskrit. We teach from the Vedas and ancient wisdom traditions. We encourage prayer, meditation, loving-kindness, and selfless service. We created a space where people could come to their mat and fall in love with themselves and this beautiful life.
Over 15 years, we’ve graduated 14 yoga teacher training groups, hosted dozens of transformational retreats around the globe, and offered free Full Moon astrology forecasts through The Shaman & The Mermaid. Most importantly, we’ve built a home for seekers—a true spiritual sanctuary in the heart of Denver.

Our New Space Will Include
- A dedicated Meditation Room for stillness and inner journey
- A central Gathering Space for community connection
- A Tea House for conversation and communion
- A beautiful Yoga and Movement Studio with natural light and big windows
- An Art and Teaching Classroom for workshops and education
- A performance stage for live music, master teacher workshops, and weekend immersions
- An expanded Sacred Geometry School
- A Wellness Center offering massage, Ayurvedic treatments, Shirodhara, and wellness programs
- A Garden Sanctuary filled with plants and greenery
- Sacred art and murtis throughout the space
- More room for students in classes and trainings—while keeping the intimate community feel that makes Karma Yoga Center home
This is an opportunity for expanded community, deeper collaboration, and more diverse ways to gather. A place for the perennial and universal teachings of spirit to be shared. The new space will be a spiritual sanctuary in the city for seekers of all kinds—a gathering place that holds the energy of the mountains, the sky, the earth, and the elements here in Colorado.
The Timeline
We’ve been doing extensive research and gathering information on the construction and buildout process, working closely with the potential building owner to bring this vision to life.
Now through December: Finalizing plans, signing lease, preparing for construction
- January–February 2026: Construction and buildout
- Mid-February 2026: Moving begins
- February 28, 2026: Last day at our Pearl Street location
- March 1, 2026: Grand opening at 1705 S. Broadway!
Our current location will be open and vibrant all the way through February 28. We hope to have a seamless transition from our current place to the next—honoring every class, every gathering, every moment until we close that door and open a new one.
Why We’re Asking For Help
Our new studio space requires significant work before we can open our doors:
- Design and wall construction
- Painting
- Flooring
- HVAC and electrical
- Exterior signage
- Website rebuild
- IT setup
- Moving costs
Our goal is $54,000 to complete the buildout. We have finalized contractor bids and full project costs, so we are ready to go! We’ll keep you updated every step of the way.
This is not a tax-deductible donation—Karma Yoga Center is a small, locally-owned business. But every dollar you contribute goes directly toward building our new home. It’s a direct investment in keeping our spiritual community together—and helping it grow.

Our Deepest Gratitude
We are so grateful to all who have already offered helping hands, hearts, resources, knowledge, comfort, and wisdom during this transition. The whole community has been so supportive—and that has been our first and foremost vision through all of this.
We want to honor our community, teachers, staff, friends, and neighbors. We want to guide the expansion and move of Karma Yoga Center to solid shores—and take this grace and opportunity to expand our collective spiritual center and gathering place for community.
This has always been about you. All of you.
A Final Word
Thank you for being part of our karma. Thank you for helping us build our new home.
With love and gratitude,
Katrina & Michael
