Hello Cosmic Yogis~
There is a principle in yoga called “sthiram sukham” which means steadiness and ease. It can be considered another way to say “Yang/Yin” or perhaps “powerful but peaceful.” This is the way of the spiritual warrior and the initiate on the path to self-realization. One needs strength, steadiness (without tension), and will. This is balanced with grace, ease (without dullness), and flow. This principle applies at all levels of being, from the physical to the mental to the spiritual/astrological. In the Taoist tradition, you can say this is walking the middle way. This is always the dharma for all beings, but it is particularly poignant this lunar cycle.
The Pisces Full Moon arrives on Aug 27, with a partial lunar eclipse at 10:12 pm MST (visible in Colorado), opposed by the Sun and Mercury in Virgo. Here, Pisces is the sukam and peace. We are being asked to be peaceful and to trust our inner world, which is the Moon. Our outer self, the Sun, is being asked to stay determined, take action, be steady, and choose wisely. This is Virgo energy. It is a north node eclipse, so we are letting go of old shame and guilt and stepping into grace.
One of the bigger energies of the Month, Year and Decade is Jupiter Trine Saturn on Aug 31. Jupiter and Saturn have a 20-year cycle of consciousness that measures the decades and the rhythm of society. These two planets cunjucted in February 2020- along with Pluto in Capricorn. This was a challenging start to a cycle of purification for individuals and society. As they evolved, a square in 2025 brought pressure as a result of the last 5 years. Now this cycle has opened to the first trine and is a release, an ease, and an opportunity for change and movement in a harmonious way. Saturn is the energy of steadiness, direction, power, and karma. Jupiter is the ease, the flow, the peace, and the dharma. This is a mystical time of sthiram sukham and walking the middle way. It is also a harmonic and magical time for change, movement and fruition…

July is a transformational month of Truth, Revelation, and Heart Awakening. Let’s start big and then hone in. Many consider — as we do — that we are in the Aquarian Age, nearly through the chaotic shift out of the Piscean Age of the last 2,000+ years. We are also in the cosmic yuga of Ascending Dwapara, which is like the end of winter and the start of spring, but stretched across 4,000 years. The convergence of these two cosmic eons marks incredible shifts in consciousness. From 2012 to 2025 we moved through a crucial passage of these ages, one that presented many of the themes to be resolved in the times ahead. Now, in July, we’ve reached a way-marker point where these shifts move into second gear and become much more real. Starting with the rare alignment of the outer planets, all at 4° of their respective signs, forming the perfect angles of a hexagon. This geometry in the sky is deeply harmonizing, materializing spiritual energies onto the third-dimensional plane — in short, it is like lightning manifesting throughout the field. Received with an open heart, it is revelatory, liberating, and revealing. Received with resistance, it can look like fighting and turmoil. Let’s break it down.
It all begins with the Capricorn Strawberry Full Moon of June 29, complemented by the Cancer New Moon on July 14. The Cancer–Capricorn axis is one of security — the inner child and the inner parent. Many themes are surfacing around whether we are able to self-soothe and calm our own inner waters without projecting or seeking someone else to do it for us. While this may sound mundane, it is truly the key to these great shifts into Aquarian awareness. We must learn to calm the waters within our own hearts and stop blaming or searching outward for others to fix them.

First, find center and allow the geometry of creation to flow from you magical hridyam heart, both silent and sonorous. The Aquarius Age is upon us, and this month of May is a threshold moment.

We begin with the Scorpion Full Moon on May 1, the sign of the Soul. It is the mystical quarter season of Beltane- the shining fire of the sacred feminine and masculine in union- both still and effulgent with life. It is also Vesak or Buddha Purnima- Buddha’s birthday and his death day or Maha Samadhi. Time for an initiation to go deep and resurrect your spiritual heritage and be the light.
May 6 – Oct 15 is Pluto retrograde in Aquarius. A spring, summer, and fall of finding, remembering, and being the Soul of wherever you stand, as the Sufi mystic Rumi guides. This is a cycle of awakening on our planet. A cycle within a cycle. a summer within a great Age of 2000+ years.

We are back! We had a short hiatus, but our reports have returned with a little combination of Astrology and Karmic Happens. We will unpack the cosmic energies and share about what is unfolding simultaneously at Karma Yoga Center.
This lunar cycle begins with a Libra Full Moon on April 1, which is also the Pink Moon. Libra is an energy of balance, relationship, self-study, and union. So, it can be considered an energy of yoga. Yoga is about balancing the inner and outer worlds, the sun and the moon, and the material and the spiritual. Ultimately, yoga and Libra are processes to help guide a seeker on the path of Self-Realization and harnessing the will to turn inwards to the hridyam heart or inner sun. When realized, we have the capacity to shine goodwill and love upon every being.
Aries energy is very forward in the field this cycle, as it always is seasonally with the start of spring. When the Sun enters Aries on March 20 – April 19, it is the Spring equinox, the astrological month of Aries, and the start of the astrological year. There will be 7 planets and luminaries in the sign of Aries on April 16, and the Aries New Moon is April 17. Mercury, Mars, The Sun, The Moon, Neptune, Saturn and Chiron will also be in the sign of the Aires. Aries, in its highest expression, is a truth seeker, open-hearted, expressing the desires of the Soul, and devoted to the feminine. This could be a time of inspiration, initiation, new beginnings, and revelation of truth for the individual and the planet.

We are on the precipice between 2025 and 2026. While the year change in the Gregorian calendar is more arbitrary, it marks a significant point in our current collective psyche. It is a mile marker for life events. As we approach the close of this year, many energies are on the cusp of significant change. A tidal shift in consciousness is coming.
While there will be an expansion of cognition and intellect, there is an even greater leap in heart awareness flowing through the collective field. This means that some old and outdated ways of perception are dissolving, and we are being called to an expanded plane of awareness. In the moment, this may present as challenges and seemingly radical shifts. This is the proverbial “when the going gets tough.” But you were born for these times, and you came here to grow and to expand. So, “the tough get going.”

There is a well-established principle in both modern and ancient healing practices that sometimes a poison can serve as medicine. Anti-venom for snake bites is produced from the actual venom. The flu shot is derived from the flu virus. In biology, this concept is called hormesis, where a low-level stress, toxin, restriction, or poison actually promotes greater health, resilience, and growth. Paracelsus, the renowned Swiss physician, alchemist, and philosopher of the German Renaissance, stated that “all things are poison, and nothing is without poison; only the dose permits something not to be poisonous.” This serves as the fundamental principle of homeopathy—like cures like. A substance that causes symptoms in a healthy person can be used in diluted form to treat similar symptoms in someone who is sick. 

This all seemed pertinent to this month’s astrology cycle, where there are a number of retrogrades, directs, and Taurus/Scorpio energy, which have to do with transformation, survival, health, growth, and sometimes poison. From the Soul realm, whether something is poison or medicine depends on perception of the mind and time. Time can change everything, including our perceptions. What was once the worst thing might actually become the best force for evolution and growth over time. 

There is a timeless lesson that we are like the ocean. The churning of the surface waves represents our mind and ego. But beneath the turbulent surface lies the calming depths of our Soul. If we identify with the waves, we may be swept around, but if we seek our true selves and dive deep beneath the surface, we will remember our eternal self as the vast ocean of spirit.
This month’s astrology is full of waves on the surface of the ocean, churning and turning with aspects and movement from the personal planets. If we stay at the surface, we may get lost. But there are deeper tones and more profound guidance coming from the Soul and the great depths of consciousness unfolding. Tune into your spiritual heart at this time and seek the guidance of your Soul, your intuition, and your inner wisdom. “As The Surface Waves Churn, Dive Deep Beneath To Learn.”

Now begins eclipse season and the reason for our mantra. The word eclipse means to “cut” or “clip.” They occur when the Sun, the Moon, and the Earth align at the mystical points in the sky called the Moon’s Nodes. For the journey of the Soul and the Collective Consciousness, these are points of evolution, transformation, and cutting away what is not serving the greater harmony, meaning the cosmic flow of Karma & Dharma. 

These portals of transformation will occur whether we are conscious of them or not, so it is best to get clear and tune into what is being called to the cutting block. Is this bad or good? Neither— it depends on our own free will choices and understanding of our karma and dharma. If we are aligned, this could be like the farmer in an abundant wheat field harvesting with a grateful heart because the time is right. Or it can be the revelation of a karmic pattern that we previously were unable to see or unwilling to acknowledge, brought to the forefront so that we can cut it out and transform it, allowing us to move forward with more harmony and grace.
