Tea Ceremony

Fridays · 10:45–11:45 AM · The Tea Room

A Silent Ceremony of Tea

A soulful, meditative experience in our tea room and meditation sanctuary. The tea leaves carry messages and medicine, and this intimate, silent ceremony is an invitation to slow down, breathe in their aroma, and receive what the tea has to offer.

The Experience

How the Ceremony Unfolds

The ceremony is held in silence. Meditative music and the soft bubbling of water over the flame are the only sounds, and everything is offered with love.

Welcome to the Tea Table

You're welcomed to a tea table set with handmade pottery, a bubbling clay kettle over a flame, a seasonal floral and garden arrangement, ambient light, and candles.

The Pours

The tea is ceremonially offered in three to four pours. Each bowl is received in silence, with time to settle into the warmth of the tea.

Messages & Medicine

Sit with the aroma and gently draw in the messages and medicine of the tea. Often inner visions arise: warmth of heart, messages from the earth, and floral aromas.

Closing Reflection

A short poem or reading is often offered at the end, with an invitation to share feelings, impressions, or messages, only if you feel called.

A Sanctuary for Stillness

The Tea Room & Meditation Sanctuary

Tucked in the back of the studio, our tea room and meditation sanctuary is a beautiful space for this intimate ceremony. Warm walls, prayer flags, a library, and a golden Buddha altar hold the room in quiet reverence.

The room is open to students at all times, so you are welcome to come early, sit quietly, and arrive in body and breath before the ceremony begins.
