Get ready for an easy weekend get-away to the Sun Mountain Center & Sun Water Spa in Manitou Springs, Co with Karma Yoga Center. Located about an hour south of Denver and nestled among the Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak, Sun Mountain is a spectacular Retreat Center, Spa and Hot Springs surrounded by natural and historical beauty.
We chose to offer our Living With Spirit Yoga Retreat right between the Thanksgiving and the winter Holiday Season, to provide attendees with a chance to rejuvenate and to do some simple practices to realign your life. We will use yoga, astrology, hot springs soaking, ceremony, mediation, Garden of The Gods walk and ceremony, pranayam, nurturing & healing food, Native American Medicine Wheel work, and a guided journey. These will help to balance your daily life with nourishing and simple spiritual practices that you can continue as you journey back home.
About Sun Mountain & Sun Water Spa
You’ll stay in stay in beautiful Red-Stone Lodges situated on six acres of terraced bio-dynamic gardens, complete with walking & meditation trails and stunning views of the surrounding mountains. With a thriving urban farm onsite, you’ll enjoy wholesome and nutritious meals prepared by the in-house chef. Each meal is organic, vegetarian, gluten-free and Farm-to-Table. Then rejuvenate with Unlimited Soaking in the mineral hot springs at Sun Water Spa with the option to indulge in any of the spa services and treatments by personal appointment. We’ll also take a journey to the sacred site of Garden of The Gods for a walk and nature meditation.

Each Single Bedroom Suite has 1-King Bed, a private ensuite bathroom. Each guest can easily step out into nature and access the six acres of terraced gardens, complete with walking & meditation trails and stunning views of the surrounding mountains, with the soaking pools just a short walk down the road.

Each Double Bedroom Suite has either 1-King Bed or 2 Singles with a private ensuite bathroom. About Manitou Springs, Co
Manitou Springs is a quaint mountain town nestled at the base of Pikes Peak. Filled with eclectic shops, art galleries composed of pieces by local artists, and creekside restaurants, Manitou Springs is brimming with opportunities to entertain people of all interests and from all walks of life. Sun Mountain Center and Sun Water Spa are a 5-10 minute walk to the town center. Manitou is also the gateway to the Pikes Peak Highway where you can drive to the top of the Mountain where Black Elk gave his prophecies and get a 360 degree view of the Rocky Mountains.
About Garden of the Gods
Garden of the Gods is a sacred and spectacular site at the base of Pikes Peak, just minutes from Manitou Springs. The native peoples called Pikes Peak “Tava” which means Sun Mountain. Tava is considered the actual location where the Lakota-Sioux elder Black Elk received his prophetic messages to guide our planet through shifting times. The Garden of Gods landscape has towering Red Sandstone and White Sandstone rock temples that are a vortex of spiritual energy. Our retreat will visit this sacred site for a spirit-walk and guided meditation and ceremony.
About Katrina & Michael
Katrina and Michael have been hosting spiritual yoga retreats together since 2015 and are the co-owner of Karma Yoga Center in Denver, Colorado.
As the owner and founder of Karma Yoga Center in Denver, she brings the bhakti from all wisdom traditions to her yoga classes- singing, chanting, dancing, and journeys into the heart. Katrina fills every yoga session with love. She weaves in the teachings of her yoga mentor Saul David Raye and the cosmic knowings from the lineage of Evolutionary Astrology.
She shares her life journey with her half-side husband Michael Shankara and her two boys Max & Bo .
About Michael
Michael is a certified yoga teacher, Mayan Shaman, Priest, and Astrologer. Initiated into the sacred wisdom of the Maya, Michael is the sole apprentice under elder, priest and shaman Dr. Don Miguel Angel Vergara- former director of the sacred Chichen Itza Archeology Site in Mexico. Michael is also a musician and sound healer, providing live music for yoga classes, retreats, journeys and mediations at Karma Yoga Center. Michael is a certified Crystology Healer and studies Soul Astrology, Astronomy, and the Mayan Calendars. He offers Energy Healings and Astrology Readings that integrate his shamanic and yogic trainings. Michael & Katrina also provide a free astrology videos on the New Moons and Full moons called the Shaman & The Mermaid.
