Lea Marlene

Lea is a native Coloradan who began her yogic journey years ago while acting and performing stand-up comedy in Los Angeles, CA. The beneficial affects yoga was having on her acting craft and in her life were quickly embraced. She found a deep connection with yoga and performing that is also very true in life; when you’re present, living truthfully moment to moment, without judgement, you are always at your very best. After having a life-threatening bought with melanoma Lea felt extremely grateful for the tremendous healing benefits yoga was having on her body, mind and spirit. Today she is grateful to be 100% cancer free and she wears lots of sunscreen! The wonderful healing and spiritual awakening she experienced inspired her to dive deeper into her practice receiving her 200 Hour RYT title with Yoga Alliance from The American Yoga School in Santa Monica, California. Lea’s teaching style is kind- hearted, vibrant, skillful, and encouraging. She is motivated by the Yoga Sutra of Pantanjali – Atha Yoganusasanam; meaning yoga is now, we cannot merely philosophize, we must practice. This keeps her coming back to her mat time and time again. After working in Santa Monica for many years Lea is now back to her native roots and loves living, learning, teaching, and laughing in her hometown of dynamic Denver. She feels yoga is a beautiful way to open your heart and connect with your spirit, receiving the gifts that are always available to you. She knows that tuning into your body and connecting with your breath taps you into who you really are, making you better at everything you do.
