Katrina Gustafson

Known as “the mermaid of the mountains,” Katrina Marie Gustafson is the founder and creator of Karma Yoga Center—now in its third location after more than seventeen years of serving the Denver community—and the visionary creator of the Soma Spa. Through the wisdom of the heart, her purpose is to help others open their own. A devoted yoga teacher who leads Karma’s teacher training programs and guides retreats near and far, she weaves the Bhakti of all wisdom traditions into her classes—singing, chanting, dancing, and journeys into the heart—and draws on the lineage of Evolutionary Astrology. Beyond the mat, she offers Spiritual Counseling and Energy Clearings, drawing on her studies in Dr. David Frawley’s Vedic Counseling program—and, trained under Beth, she offers Shirodhara as a practitioner in our circle as well. Warm, grounding, and deeply restorative, her presence helps people find their way back to themselves—and together with her beloved partner Michael Shankara, she shares this path as one half of “The Shaman & The Mermaid.”
