“Rise With The Sun, And Catch The Energy Of The Day.” This is a beautiful teaching from the yogic tradition that our teacher Saul David Raye shared with us, and we feel it is true. When you rise with the Sun, you catch the energy and spirit of the day- and the life. The Sun is an external guide to mirror our own inner sun of the heart which the yogis call the Hridyam. When you rise with the Sun you can be reminded of the eternal light that dwells in your own heart each day. We chose this mantra for this lunar cycle because of all the Sun, Taurus, and Venus energy that is at play. Let me explain…

Venus in many ancient wisdom traditions is considered to be a spiritual star. The ancients understood that in the third dimensional, material plane Venus appears as a planet. But in the 5th dimension, Venus is an otherworldly, spiritual star and sister to our Sun. In fact she is both referred to as the “Morning Star” and “Evening Star.” Venus spends 1.6 years (584 Days) setting in the west at dusk after the Sun as the Evening Star, and then after a 40 day retrograde, she will become the Morning Star and rise before the Sun in the east at pre-dawn.

On April 12, Venus goes direct and can now be seen in the pre-dawn sky to the east rising before the Sun. She has resurrected from the underworld and remains there from Apr 2025 – Oct 2026. The ancients tracked her movement and depicted this pattern moving from the left and right— or east and west— of the Sun as a solar disc above the head of horned bull. This is the dance of our physical Sun and our Spiritual Sun. And now, if you rise at dawn, you will catch the energy of both for the next 1.6 years.

1.6 is also the number representing the The Golden Ratio or Phi (1.618) which is what we consider to embody beauty and creation. The Golden Ratio is what creates all of nature from your own body, to ocean waves, flowers, rainbows, crystals, and stars. And Venus as an archetype is beauty and creation.

April 12 is also the Libra Full Moon, and Libra is ruled by Venus. This full moon illuminates our relationships to all things- people, nature, society, food, values, and our own Souls. Do you consider all beings and all people your relations or are some less than others? This full moon invites you to explore the true meaning of Namaste~ The Light in me is the same as the Light in you.

The Sun enters Taurus April 19 – May 20, starting the second astrological month of Spring. Taurus is also ruled by Venus and represents our values, self-love, creation, fecundity, resources, and our sense perceptions. Are you clear like a rising sun about your value system? Do you love yourself unconditionally like the Sun? Are you using your creative energy (shakti) to fulfill your Soul’s Purpose? Are you perceiving reality from the inner light?

Mercury and Venus have been traversing between Aries and Pisces as they retrograded and are now both direct. Mercury re-enters Aries on Apr 12 and Venus on the 30th. They will both conjunct Neptune in Aries— Apr 17 and May 2 respectively. Neptune is our spiritual journey and unconditional love. Aries in its highest way is a Truth Seeker of the Inner Light. Mercury is the psychopomp who explores the Soul and Venus is our Values. This whole progression is a global call to return to the ancient ways of the spiritual heart. It is not a question of “maybe” but a guidance from the Soul.

May Day or Beltane is May 1. This is the mid-point between spring and summer and at the height of Taurus energy- which is also Venus. It is when the life-force of nature has returned, rivers are flowing, the rains nurture the earth, the leaves and flowers are abundant, and the animals are birthed and exploring the world. So we celebrate this mystical quarter season by honoring the sacred feminine and masculine in union. This is the May Pole Dance. It is also the spiritual map for uniting your own inner masculine and feminine to realize your own inner sun and Hridyam Heart. Rise with sun…

Pluto goes retrograde from May 4 – Oct 13 in Aquarius. This is a significant energy for the remainder of 2025. Pluto is the Soul and Aquarius is revolution, revelation, awakening, lightning striking, sudden changes, and radical transformation. While this is happening now, it is also part of the larger Age of Aquarius which is a 2,100 year shift in consciousness. We are in it now but only in the birthing phase- which can be chaotic if we choose to resist it. Choose your inner sun and rise with the light from within. You are the one you are waiting for.
