300-Hr-YTT: Spring 2018

300-Hr Yoga Teacher Trainings @ Karma

Overview

Karma Yoga Center’s 300-Hr Advanced Yoga Teacher Training Program strives to not only provide you with the knowledge required to deepen your teaching, but also to give you the opportunity to integrate and assimilate what you learn by putting it into practice in your everyday life. Our aim is to illuminate the forces within you through advanced techniques, philosophical discussions, and hands-on practicums.

We will help you become a masterful teacher through exploring complex concepts and teaching methodologies; and we will provide guidance of how to deliver what you experience.

Embody The Teachings…

We believe most effective way to develop the skills to become an influential and powerful yoga teacher is through embodying the teachings. It is one thing to know about the subtle power of this practice, and its another thing to live it.  Significant teaching time will be allotted for a master level experience to be uncovered. This experience is a direct result of implementing the techniques passed to us from our teachers and past masters and our own personal experiences.

As a result, the student will begin to embody the deeper possibilities of yoga’s sacred teachings. Somewhere within the treasures of yoga exists your personal transformation, karma’s pure atunements, and the conscious evolution of the human race. And all, are features of our potent advanced training program.

Mexico Immersions or Karma Yoga Center Immersion…You Choose!

The final week of the training will be an intimate immersion, either in the lush tropics of the Mayan Riveria of Mexico, or here at Karma Yoga Center, you have the option to choose where to spend your concluding immersion week. This immersion will allow the student to take the teachings and consciously apply them in their moment-to-moment day for seven days. Whether its walking along the beach at sunrise in meditation, or leading us in a soul journey through our chakras in the studio, each day of the final week will bring the teachings into real time application.

Soul Contract

We graciously invite you on this very special voyage into the known and unknown. Join us for a journey into the essence of your being. Learn to move through obstacles and overcome limitations. Embody the teachings and light the fire of transformation that allows you to step deeper into your Soul Contract.

Mexico Immersion Info

We will be staying in a small fishing village right on the ocean waters of the Mayan Riviera of Mexico. Just 20 miles south of Cancun, this location is safe, easy to get to, and connected to the ancient energies of the Mayan and Mexican peoples. Our special retreat center is totally self-contained, and we will be the only group in the space. There are beautiful accommodations, a private pool, tropical gardens, a covered-outdoor yoga space, free bicycles, and it is a 2-minute walk to the spectacular beaches.

This little fishing village is surrounded by tropical mangrove forests and a sea-turtle reserve. Because of this, the village area cannot be commercially developed and maintains it’s local charm. It is home to artisan crafters, local farmers, fisher people, and spiritual seekers. There is a wonderful farmers market, a hand craft market, and a grocery store. There is also a great selection of small beach-side restaurants, a coffee shop, local craft shops, and beautiful uncrowded beaches. We will be taking a few adventures into the jungle to visit some of the Sacred Mayan sites, including the famous Chichen Itza and the Ik Kil Cenote.

Attendees will be provided with a daily breakfast and 2 dinners. Each room has it’s own kitchen for cooking or you can eat out. Attendees are responsible for their own airfare. We will provide transportation to and from the airport and to our planned adventures. Attendees are welcome to rent their own vehicles if you want your own personal transportation during free-time- however it is not necessary. Everything is within walking/biking distance from our Retreat Center.

Katrina Gustafson

Owner and founder of Karma Yoga Center, Katrina Gustafson is a certified yoga instructor who has been leading retreats and teaching yoga for 12 years. Yoga has transformed her life so vastly that she left her 12 year career as a high school Language Arts teacher to pursue the practice of yoga wholeheartedly. Her teaching style is a heart-centered vinyasa (flow) with an emphasis on the spiritual aspects of the practice. She is a student of internally renown master teacher Saul David Raye. Katrina subscribes deeply to the practice of bhakti (devotional) yoga. She works hard on maintaining the integrity of this ancient practice while bringing it into the 21st century. Though yoga brings her deep joy, her greatest passion is loving on her two boys Maximus and Boden and her talented partner Michael Shankara.
