Today begins the 10 day celebration called Ganesh Chaturthi. It is a Hindu holiday that honors Lord Ganesh, the elephant headed deity who helps to remove (or place) the obstacles in our path that keep us from from stepping into our highest Self or fullest potential. Whether you know of Ganesh or not, or if you come from a different Spiritual tradition, it is still a beautiful opportunity to pause our routine, especially since we head into a weekend dedicated to pausing from our labors, and reflect on our path.
We can assess to see if there are things we can clear-stuck energies or obstacles that are holding us back from our true purpose. Ultimately our path should be leading us to a deep sense of joy, love, and soul contentment. If we haven’t arrived yet, we can begin the journey now. Happy Birthday Ganesh.
