Make a list of all the things you Want, then decide how many of those things are what you Need. Cross off all the things that aren’t truly needs. What you have left is a list of where to put your focus, energy, and creativity. Your effort to meet your Needs sets you toward the path of your highest calling, your dharma. Chasing your Wants only breeds discontent, dissatisfaction, and greed. Needs serve the Soul; Wants serve the ego.
